Worcester County Station 800

Established in 1945, Showell’s 30+ volunteers provide Fire, Rescue & EMS first response to a rural residential community located northwest of the popular resort town of Ocean City.

Engine 803 - 2004 Pierce Enforcer 1500 gpm/1000 gal.

Operating as a rescue engine, it is equipped with Hurst extrication tools & rescue struts.

Tanker 805 - 1996 Volvo/Southern Coach 1250 gpm/5000 gal.

A rarity in the fire service, this rig features triple axles for added stability on rural backroads.

Engine 802 - 1974 Ford C/Oren 750 gpm/1000 gal.

The last gasoline powered apparatus in the fleet, this rig is the next in line to be replaced.

Engine 804 - 1985 Ford C/Pierce 1000 gpm/1000 gal.

Special thanks to Chief David Pruitt & the members of Showell for their hospitality & assistance with these photos.
