Rescue 325 - 2005 Pierce Saber

Responding for rescue assignments, it is equipped with three pre-connected XRT extrication tools. In addition, it carries rope and confined space rescue gear as well as equipment for an 8 member SCUBA team.

Ladder 317 - 2001 Pierce Dash 100’/2000 gpm/300 gal.

Engine 311 - 2013 Emergency One Typhoon 2000 E-max gpm/1000 gal.

Responding first due, it is equipped with a pre-connected TNT combi-tool with portable power unit.

Originally chartered in 1870 as Liberty Fire Co#1, the present day Peru FD serves the City of Peru as well as a 36 mile rural response area. Operating as a combination department, a full time fire chief, four career engineers and a paid-on-call force answer an average of 300 alarms annually.
