FIREMATIC HISTORY

Engine 2-2 - 2006 Pierce Enforcer 1500 gpm/750 gal.

Featuring a rear mounted pump, this rig operates as a rescue engine. Accordingly, it is equipped with a Holmatro combi-tool with a portable power unit.

Engine 2-1 - 1994 Simon-Duplex Saulsbury 1500 gpm/750 gal.

This rig formerly operated as a rescue pumper until the arrival of Engine 2-2.

Rescue 2 - 1988 Mack R/Emergency One

Seating eight (including six with SCBA in the walk-in box), this rig is equipped with Phoenix extrication tools and high angle rescue gear. Still in active front line service after 26 years, this rig was scheduled for replacement until the other township fire company purchased a heavy rescue (they previously ran an air/light unit) thereby reducing the number of responses this rig makes.

Special thanks to Chief Bill Santifort for his assistance in positioning the apparatus for photos and providing background information on the department and its’ operations.

Pequannock Engine Co# 2 operates their entire fleet from this five bay firehouse.
