North Babylon (commonly known as “North Bab”) operates from four stations providing Fire, Extrication & ALS level EMS transport. Their response area includes residential homes, a considerable amount of “taxpayer” strip malls, the heavily traveled Route 231 and the high speed Southern State Parkway.

Ladder 1-8-6 - 1986/2013 Mack/Baker/Pierce 75’ Aerialscope

Responding from Station 3 (“The Force from the North”), this rig responds districtwide as a truck company. Originally rehabbed by R.D. Murray in 1997, after 26 years of dedicated service, it was sent to Pierce in 2012 for a full rebuild including remounting of the boom on a new cab and chassis. This rig holds the “unyque” distinction of being the first Aerialscope rebuild mounted on a Quantum cab (to match NBFC’s fleet of engines). Featuring striking graphics including a tiger skin wrapped “Stang” gun in the bucket, it is equipped with a full complement of Hurst hydraulic extrication tools.
